Webinar - Protecting the Victims of Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking

Efforts to protect children identified as victims of domestic sex trafficking have gained momentum as a number of states have developed protective legislation often referred to as “Safe Harbor” laws, which aim to ensure identified youth are treated as victims not offenders. Hosted by the Justice Clearinghouse, this webinar will present statutory, policy-based, and practice-oriented approaches to improving the response to child sex trafficking victims.

ASC 2016 Panels and Roundtable

One key goal of the BJA Smart Policing Initiative is improvement in the rigor with which policing strategies and innovations are evaluated. This roundtable discussion will focus on the research methodologies employed in several Smart Policing sites, the challenges encountered with implementing sound research designs in operational settings, and the ways in which the Smart Policing sites are meeting and overcoming these challenges.
