The Litmus group is in the Marron Institute of Urban Management at NYU. Litmus promotes innovation in criminal justice, working with public agencies across a range of policy issues to engage stakeholders, help identify and develop promising strategies, support constant process improvement, and foster organic innovation through ongoing iterative evaluation. Litmus operates the BJA Swift Certain Fair Resource Center, supporting state, local, territorial, and tribal jurisdictions and agencies in implementing and testing innovations in community corrections. We provide resources, materials, and free training and technical assistance, customized to the recipient’s interests and circumstances. Our Segregation Solutions project promotes innovations in corrections management and testing of promising strategies to create safer, more rehabilitative corrections environments.
