The PRC will complete reviews and provide guidance on reports drafted by probationary auditors in accordance with the probationary auditor status guidelines.
The PRC reviews audit reports triggered by a set of certain criteria, and provides guidance to the auditors to assist with improving the overall audit process, and audit reports going forward.
As part of additional quality improvement efforts, the PRC administers peer reviews which entails selecting strong auditors to review audits that have already been completed to ensure a high quality audit process. (I.E. retaining necessary documentation, investigating PREA complaints properly, facility implementation of PREA Standards etc).
The auditor feedback form is comprised of complaints submitted to the PRC from various sources of information pertaining to PREA audits. I.E Victim advocates, corrections staff, PREA Coordinators etc. These complaints are reviewed regularly by the PRC, and BJA. Certain complaints are referred to PMO for a more in depth review depending upon the nature of the complaint.
The PRC will maintain a query form on its website where anyone can submit questions to the PRC. The PRC will respond to all queries in a timely manner and record the content of the query in its information tracking system.
The PRC will operate an assistance request form on its website and will respond to assistance requests by engaging with jurisdictions, assessing what services are appropriate, and meeting the needs of the requesting organization as resources allow. All data regarding the interaction will be tracked in the PRC's information database. Full assistance cases will be reported as individual TTAs. PRC will report on quarterly volume managed.
The PRC will undertake an effort to identify and support PREA Champions in each state. Details to be decided.
In accordance with the goals of building capacity in the field and diversity in TTA providers, the PRC will recruit and with an expert group of consultant providers available to respond to field-initiated requests for assistance. This is a new network for the PRC and a new approach to utilize individual consultants rather than large organizational providers for these services. This model will allow the PRC to both invest in emerging leaders/trainers and increase capacity and diversity available to respond to requests.
PRC will serve as an umbrella resource center with established partnerships with diverse partners bringing varying expertise and increased capacity to serve the filed.
