Impact Justice established contractual partnerships with Just Detention International, The Moss Group, and the Vera Institute of Justice.
Impact Justice established a contractual partnership with American University Washington College of Law.
Impact Justice issued contract extensions with 10 Field Initiated TA providers and new contracts with 5 new Field Initiated TA providers to provide training and technical assistance to the field.
Impact Justice established a partnership with the American Jail Association to produce a PREA implementation training for jails. Partnering with AJA will provide access to the jail community and increase awareness of the training among that community, and will meet BJA’s goals of maintaining close involvement with the professional associations representing field practitioners. Utilizing AJA as a partner will also allow both BJA and the PRC to tap into AJA’s existing event production capacity and expertise, minimizing the lift on existing PRC staff.
On December 10th, 2018, the PRC held the first in-person convening of our key organizational partners. In addition to PRC staff, present for the conversation were representatives from the US DOJ Bureau of Justice Assistance, US DOJ Office of Civil Rights, Abt Associates, Just Detention International, The Moss Group, and the Vera Institute of Justice.
The agenda consisted of in-depth updates from the PREA Management Office, organization updates from the PRC and the key partners, a discussion about gaps and opportunities related to PREA, and a discussion of next steps for the group.

In addition to PRC staff, present for the conversation were representatives from the US DOJ Bureau of Justice Assistance, US DOJ Office of Civil Rights, Abt Associates, Just Detention International, The Moss Group, and the Vera Institute of Justice.
