Evaluation feedback from five individuals completing the on-demand virtual “Homegrown Violent Extremism Threat to Law Enforcement: The Jesse Hartnett Survivor Story” was positive. All student indicated that they were satisfied with the course and agreed or strongly agreed that the information was useful, it increased their knowledge, was relevant to their current jobs, they would apply what they had learned and would recommend the course to others.

Evaluation feedback from two individuals completing the self-paced, online ePROTECT training course was positive. Both students indicated that they were satisfied with the course and agreed or strongly agreed that the information was useful, it increased their knowledge, was relevant to their current jobs, they would apply what they had learned and would recommend the course to others. Students commented that they appreciated the resources available to local law enforcement on how to report suspicious activity.

During the month of February 2025, the IIR Information Technology team completed two enhancements related to the www.slatt.org website, as follows: (1) a quarterly checklist was developed based on the security scans from January, 2025 (no major issues were identified); and (2) a weekly scan was implemented to identify issues that may arise in the following categories: content policies, quality assurance, accessibility, search engine optimization, amount of downtime, and statistics.

The state created the Modernized Operations through Data and Evidence-based Restoration Now (MODERN) Justice Task Force to better understand and address the drivers of local jail populations and associated growing costs in OK.​

Following discussions about the 2020 legislative audit and CJI’s subsequent analysis, the Utah
Department of Corrections (UDC) established two workgroups – one focused on reentry and the other
on case management – to address inefficiencies and improve the implementation of evidence-based
practices. Related to this effort, the agency requested further information on caseload ratio data in
other states. This document serves as a response to this request.
