The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) released an updated version of the United States Attorneys’ Manual, now titled the Justice Manual, marking the first comprehensive overhaul of the resource in more than 20 years. The manual contains internal DOJ guidance, serving to enhance efficiency, promote consistency, and ensure DOJ employees can readily access applicable department policies. The release of the updated guidelines also increases transparency and accountability for the public.
