Founded by Executive Director Matt Peskin in 1981, NATW serves as a platform to connect community watch groups with resources and assets to stay informed, involved, and motivated. In support of the organization’s overall mission, NATW introduced National Night Out in August 1984 as a community-building campaign to promote police-community partnerships and create safer neighborhoods.
