Join the Coalition for Juvenile Justice for the webinar “Gender, Sexuality, and the Juvenile Justice System: Promoting System Improvement” on Tuesday, August 28 from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. ET. During the webinar, participants will learn about gendered pathways into the juvenile justice system and related needs, vulnerabilities, trends, and opportunities. The webinar will review two nationally recognized, research-based, gender-responsive programs that have achieved success in both prevention and intervention settings. Giovanna Taormina, Executive Director of the One Circle Foundation, and Kiku Johnson, Associate Director of the One Circle Foundation, will discuss the theoretical foundation for The Council for Boys and Young Men®, including evidence-based principles such as resilience, strengths-based youth development, and motivational interviewing.
