Counter Terrorism: Contingency Planning for Law Enforcement Agencies

Monday Sep 25, 2017 - 01:00pm to 02:30pm EDT
Event Description:

Despite the best efforts of the Joint Terrorism Task Forces and Fusion Centers, organized or lone wolf terrorist attacks can still occur in the United States. When that occurs, it is the local law enforcement that has to respond. As in all police operations, it is better to have a contingency plan before a terrorist event.

This webinar discusses the appropriate planning and preparation that law enforcement agencies can undertake in response to a local terrorist situation. It will discuss preparatory measures and training under the headings of prepare, protect, prevent and pursue. The measures discussed during the webinar will improve officer safety and can save innocent lives, in what will be a fast-moving and highly dangerous situation.
