CP HUNT - "How To Hunt" Criminals and Terrorists: The Actionable Intelligence Workshop

This one-day workshop is designed to instruct police department commanders, their police officers assigned to both patrol and investigative functions, and their analysts on how to aggressively collect and use actionable intelligence. The same intelligence techniques can be used against both criminal and terrorist targets. The intelligence training taught in this workshop is designed to supplement the existing operational professionalism, skills, and experience within the audience.

During the webinar, CJJ will explore recent research findings from The Sentencing Project regarding disproportionate minority contact (DMC).

Webinar: Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Youth Incarceration

Disproportionate minority contact (DMC) remains a major issue within the juvenile justice system. The Sentencing Project has undertaken new research on the issue of DMC to discover the rate at which youth of color are incarcerated as compared to their white peers. Their new findings show that African-American youth are five times more likely to be incarcerated than white youth, while Native-American youth are three times more likely to be incarcerated than white youth.
