The prevalence of human trafficking across the country is widespread—spanning small, rural jurisdictions to sprawling cities—and affects both domestic and foreign-born children and adults. Because of the coercive and violent nature of human trafficking, it is common for victims to experience overlapping forms of victimization, particularly domestic violence and sexual assault. Yet, many survivors are unrecognized, criminalized, or do not receive adequate services to address their complex needs.

NCJA Webinar - What Do We Know About Sexual Offending and Sex Offender Management and Treatment? Internet Facilitated Sexual Offending

Join the National Criminal Justice Association (NCJA) webinar that will focus on what is known about internet-facilitated sexual offending, including recent research about the motivations and other psychological characteristics of internet offenders, differences between child pornography and solicitation offenders, history of contact offending, risk of recidivism, and an overview of intervention models.

The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) will be hosting two webinars on the Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI) Solicitation. The National SAKI webinar will be on Monday, March 23, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm. EDT and will provide attendees with useful information about the SAKI. The National SAKI is a competitive grant program that will provide funding for the awardee to inventory, track, and test previously unsubmitted SAKs.
