Criminal Justice Technology Forecasting Group Meeting #4

RAND plans to conduct the fourth in-person meeting of the Criminal Justice Technology Forecasting Group. This meeting will focus on addressing the top two topics for follow-on research from prior CJTFG meetings: identifying the most promising emerging technologies for sharing and using information, and determining top business cases for sharing information across the criminal justice enterprise.

2016 American Indian Justice Conference - Probation Track of Training

Probation track of training at the American Indian Justice Conference including the following workshop topics: Sustaining Probation Programs Tribal Code Development to Support Community Corrections; Supervising Probationers with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder; and High Risk DWI Offenders.

The National Alliance for Drug Endangered Children (DEC) is hosting their 13th Annual Conference: Saving Children, Saving Families, Saving Communities. The conference will be held in Reno, Nevada from Tuesday, October 25, 2016, through Thursday, October 27, 2016. Organizations and individuals interested in attending can now register and submit proposals for workshop ideas.

The National Gang Center (NGC), through funding from the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), will be offering its Advanced Gang Investigations Training course in Little Rock, Arkansas, on Tuesday, July 26 – Wednesday, July 27. This training has been developed for gang officers and intelligence analysts currently assigned to gang investigations or others who engage with street gangs as part of their law enforcement duties.

National Gang Center - Advanced Gang Training Investigations - Little Rock, AR

The Advanced Gang Investigations training provides insight into techniques to investigate gang crimes and advanced tools for gang investigations, including information regarding how to integrate intelligence analysis and crime analysis. The training is designed to offer flexibility based on the needs of the law enforcement agencies in the geographical area where the training is being offered. The training provides awareness of existing tools, resources, and guidelines for gang investigators.

Enhancing Tribal and State Collaborations to Build Sustainable Public Safety Partnerships (Jul 2016)

This course is designed to be a proactive, comprehensive, training experience that fosters collaboration among tribal, state, federal, and local governments. The class will train and equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify existing tribal justice challenges for the purpose of strengthening partnerships to more effectively implement criminal justice initiatives in their organizations.

The BJA TTA Provider Directory enables BJA staff, BJA TTA providers, and criminal justice practitioners to quickly access key information about BJA providers and give them an understanding of the breadth of justice expertise available.
