The Quattrone Center for the Fair Administration of Justice at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School is a nonpartisan, national research and policy hub producing and disseminating research designed to prevent errors in the criminal justice system. The Center takes an interdisciplinary, data-driven, “systems approach” to identifying and analyzing the most crucial problems in the justice system, and proposing solutions that improve its fairness for the benefit of society.

CP OSNII - Successful Use of Online Social Networking for Investigations and Intelligence (Feb 28, 2018)

This two-day course provides students with an up-to-date understanding of how social networking sites work and how members act and interact. Student will learn what information is available on various sites and how to integrate that information into criminal investigations and criminal intelligence analysis.The course is designed for criminal intelligence analysts, special agents, and other investigators. Students with any level of familiarity with the Internet and computers, from beginning to advanced, will find this course beneficial.

The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) recently released the report, “National Best Practices for Sexual Assault Kits: A Multidisciplinary Approach.” This report was developed in accordance with the Sexual Assault Forensic Evidence Reporting (SAFER) Act of 2013, which charged NIJ with developing national best practices and protocols on the collection and processing of DNA evidence, specifically in sexual assault cases.
