Event Description: 

Since competitive funding for Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) began in fiscal year (FY) 2012, the Michigan State University (MSU) School of Criminal Justice, as a PSN Training and Technical Assistance provider, has hosted four PSN Research Partner Orientation Courses (RPOC) for more than 120 people from 47 cities. The RPOC is a one- to two-day training attended by, at a minimum, the PSN Project Coordinator or primary point of contact and the Research Partner (RP). The training serves as an introduction for newly funded PSN sites on the PSN strategy and other data-driven and evidence-based strategies for violence prevention and control.
