The objective of this 2-day course is to focus on how Internet/cyber/computer technology-based criminal cases - as well as criminal cases reliant upon digital evidence - unfold in a courtroom and why it is vital for investigators, prosecutors, and computer forensic technicians to comprehend these elements throughout the entirety of their investigations and prosecutions. The format is interactive.

Instructor:
Don Colcolough is an internationally recognized authority and expert within the cybercrime investigations, cyber security, and prevention measures arenas, as well as a digital evidence comprehension professional. He has testified in more than 300 criminal trials for state, federal, U.S. military, and international governments over the course of 2 decades. He is the founder of Tactical Technology, LLC, a global high-technology consultancy practice concentrating on the comprehension and resolution of Internet crimes, computer-related crimes, and online abuse matters. He was formally the Director of Cyber Security and the Director of Investigations, Compliance, and Law Enforcement Affairs at America Online Inc. (AOL). 

Mr. Colcolough serves as an instructor and consultant for the National Criminal Justice Training Center and has faculty affiliations and instructional experience with various agencies/organizations including: the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General's School, International Association of Forensic Sciences, National District Attorneys Association, National Advocacy Center, National Child Advocacy Center, Internet Crimes Against Children, National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, National Center for Forensic Sciences, U.S. Naval Justice School, National Association of Attorneys General, U.S. Immigation and Customs Enforcement Academy, Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, National White Collar Crime Center, National Institute of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation Academy, and Interpol.
