Destination Zero is a program of the Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance.

IACP 2020 Virtual Training Event and Expo

National Domestic Violence Prosecution Conference

The conference will focus on the needs of jurisdictions responding to domestic violence cases. Experienced prosecutors and victim advocates will facilitate discussion and train participants on practical strategies and model policies in domestic violence prosecution. Prosecutors and victim advocates with all levels of experience are encouraged to attend.

Strengthening Sovereign Responses to Sex Trafficking in Indian Country

The U.S. Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), Minnesota Indian Women’s Sexual Assault Coalition, Comprehensive Tribal Sex Trafficking Technical Assistance, Mending the Sacred Hoop Comprehensive and Domestic Violence Tribal Technical Assistance, Men as Peacemakers, and the Tribal Law and Policy Institute extend an invitation to attend the Strengthening Sovereign Responses to Sex Trafficking in Indian Country at El Conquistador Tucson, A Hilton Resort, located in Tucson, Arizona on January 28 – 30, 2020.

American Indian Justice Conference

The American Indian Justice Conference (AIJC) will provide training to tribal communities to enhance their response to alcohol and drug abuse, enable them to recognize how trauma impacts drug and alcohol abuse in tribal communities, and to identify current trends and best practices for tribal justice systems to strengthen multidisciplinary approaches to healing and justice.

Criminology in the New Era: Confronting Injustice and Inequalities

The American Society of Criminology (ASC) is hosting their annual meeting on November 13 – 16, 2019 in San Francisco, CA. They encourage you to arrive as early in the week as possible to take advantage of the 1,200 panels, roundtables, lightning talks, and poster sessions that are scheduled. ASC will also sponsor an employment exchange. Pre-registration closes at midnight on October 27, but onsite registration will be available.

2020 Officer Safety and Wellness Symposium

Improving officer safety and wellness enhances the health and effectiveness of officers, as well as the safety of the community. The International Association of Chiefs of Police’s (IACP) 2020 Officer Safety and Wellness (OSW) Symposium is for law enforcement professionals to learn from experts in the field about resources and best practices when developing comprehensive officer safety and wellness strategies.
