Organizational analysis and development

Directorate 2 LLC

I left my career in the U.S. Intelligence Community to create Directorate 2 and bring the intelligence community's best practices to law enforcement. Law enforcement intelligence is well-established, but experiences issues with organizational alignment, establishing an intelligence culture within a law enforcement agency, access to analytic training, and a lack of financial resources.

Further The Work

When we work with a jurisdiction to design a complex initiative, our client often retains us to produce an associated grant proposal to generate the project’s inaugural funding. We have achieved an impressive track record in impact fund-development; our compelling, well-researched, and successful proposals have raised tens of millions of dollars for our clients from federal, state, local, and private sources.

Wellness Institute for Public Safety Inc

The Wellness Institute for Public Safety (WIPS) creates and administers first-responder-specific health wellness programs. Its niche platform gathers vital signs on a daily basis via wearable devices, and implements behavior modification solutions via telemedicine. It addresses both the physical and mental health needs of police/ambulance/fire workers and their families. It also incorporates a longitudinal research component based on the Framingham Study.

Melissa Haynes

I believe I would be a strong asset as a BJA NTTAC Provider for training and technical assistance to law enforcement agencies in crime analysis. I have many years of experience working both as part of teams of consultants in conducting systems assessments, formulating recommendations, and providing technical assistance to criminal justice agencies; importantly, I also excel in the field of crime analysis.  Notably, I am one of a small number of individuals who have received the distinction of Certified Law Enforcement Analyst from the International Association of Crime Analysts.
