    OJP Webinar - A Community-Based Approach to Juvenile Justice

    Join the Office of Justice Programs (OJP) for what they expect to be a meaningful and engaging discussion with leading experts on the issue of community-based models for juvenile justice on Friday, October 21 at 10:00 a.m. ET.

    The event will feature remarks by Assistant Attorney General Karol V. Mason, National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Director Nancy Rodriguez, and Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Administrator Robert L. Listenbee.

    New York University

    The Litmus group is in the Marron Institute of Urban Management at NYU. Litmus promotes innovation in criminal justice, working with public agencies across a range of policy issues to engage stakeholders, help identify and develop promising strategies, support constant process improvement, and foster organic innovation through ongoing iterative evaluation. Litmus operates the BJA Swift Certain Fair Resource Center, supporting state, local, territorial, and tribal jurisdictions and agencies in implementing and testing innovations in community corrections.

    Justice Innovation in Times of Change: New Challenges, New Opportunities

    On September 30, 2016, the Center for Court Innovation, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Assistance and the Quinnipiac University School of Law, will host "Justice Innovation in Times of Change: New Challenges, New Opportunities" at the Quinnipiac University School of Law, located at 370 Bassett Road in North Haven, CT.  

    Criminal Justice Technology Forecasting Group Meeting #4

    RAND plans to conduct the fourth in-person meeting of the Criminal Justice Technology Forecasting Group. This meeting will focus on addressing the top two topics for follow-on research from prior CJTFG meetings: identifying the most promising emerging technologies for sharing and using information, and determining top business cases for sharing information across the criminal justice enterprise.

    Webinar: Sustainability for Place-based Crime Reduction Initiatives

    “How will we keep this going when our funding runs out?” This is a question that is – or perhaps should be – top of mind for leaders of any new initiative from Day 1. For place-based crime reduction efforts like those supported by the Byrne Criminal Justice Innovation Program (BCJI), there may be many paths to “sustainability”, some of which emphasize cultivating non-traditional funding sources and others which highlight the importance of partnerships and community engagement. 

    BJA NTTAC Webinar - "Tips for Reporting on Training Performance Metrics"

    On Tuesday, June 14, from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. ET, the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) National Training and Technical Assistance Center (NTTAC) will host the webinar "Tips for Reporting on Training Performance Metrics". The webinar will review the performance metrics associated with training engagements in the BJA Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Reporting Portal, and offer tips for entering training activities and reporting training performance metrics thoroughly and accurately.

    Vera Institute of Justice Webinar - Protecting the Fair Housing Rights of People with Criminal Records

    Millions of Americans—a disproportionate number of whom are people of color—have criminal records that can be a barrier to housing. In celebration of National Reentry Week, the Shriver Center and the Vera Institute of Justice will host a webinar on April 28, 2016, on fair housing rights for people with criminal records.
