    Free Basic Crime Prevention Skill-building Training Course in Tennessee

    Hosted by the Greene County Sheriff's Department, the Greene County Partnership, and the Greene County Chamber of Commerce, the Basic Crime Prevention Course is a three-day course designed for those who work in the law enforcement and crime prevention arena. It provides an introduction to opportunity based crime prevention. The training will prepare participants to understand and deliver basic crime prevention services when they return to their home community.

    Exploring School Safety Strategies New England Regional Training

    Hosted by the Fairfield Police Department and Sacred Heart University, the Exploring School Safety Strategies Training is a free, three-day course designed for those who work in law enforcement, school education and administration, non-profits and youth serving organizations, and those who are interested in the safety and security of our nation's schools. It provides a comprehensive approach to enhancing school safety and security.

    Free Advanced Crime Prevention Skill-building Training Course in Western Maryland

    Hosted by the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commissions, the Maryland Community Crime Prevention Institute, the Maryland Governor's Office of Crime Control and Prevention, and Garrett College, the Advanced Crime Prevention Course is a three-day course designed for those who work in the law enforcement and crime prevention arena.

    NCJA Webinar - Adult Typologies

    Sexual violence remains a serious social problem with devastating consequences. The challenge of "making society safer" not only includes the need for resources, but also requires a comprehensive understanding of accurate offense patterns and risk. This knowledge may be used to devise offense typologies, or classification systems, that will inform decisions regarding investigation, sentencing, treatment, and supervision.

    The Office for Victims of Crime's (OVC) Legal Assistance for Crime Victims Initiative is collaborating with the Victim Rights Law Center to host a live chat on Title IX issues.
