Join the Naloxone (Narcan) Administration for Peace Officers and EMTs: Training and Information Webcast
Please join the International Public Safety Association (IPSA) on Monday, September 28 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. ET for the "Naloxone (Narcan) Administration for Peace Officers and EMTs: Training and Information" webcast. The instructors will provide current information on the opioid problem, opioid medications and administration, and discuss the important role law enforcement and emergency medical technicians play in combating overdose deaths. Instructors will then provide an overview of Naloxone, including how it works, scenarios when it should and should not be administered, and associated side effects.
Facilitating this webcast is Dr. Gail Bradley, an emergency room physician, Fire Department Medical Director, and member of the Arizona committee creating the Naloxone guidelines; Dr. Garth Gemar, Glendale (AZ) Medical Director; and Gary Benson, Glendale Medical Services Deputy Chief.
