Reinvesting in Justice: What Comes Next?
The Center for Court Innovation, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Assistance, will host Reinvesting in Justice: What Comes Next? on November 12, 2015 at Dallas City Hall.
The one-day conference will provide an opportunity for practitioners from both inside and outside the justice system, including judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, probation officials, court administrators, police, clinical staff, and non-profit organizations, to learn about a range of topics affecting chronic low-level offenders. Sessions will cover best practices in procedural justice, risk and needs assessment, and appropriate responses, drug and mental health treatment, pretrial diversion, community engagement and working with ideological opposites to enact reforms.
