This training and technical assistance conference is the second annual conference devoted to the development and support of pre-arrest deflection (PAD) efforts across the United States, as well as the promotion of strategies to build the treatment and fund capacity to sustain them. Last year’s conference featured workforce development trainings for 30 or more jurisdictions from around the nation led by members of the Police, Treatment, and Community Collaborative (PTACC) and provided networking opportunities for people in the law enforcement, behavioral health and social services, research, and community advocacy fields.
During year two, if funding allows, PTACC members will continue working with participating sites to help start or enhance their PAD efforts, including planning, implementing, evaluating, messaging, treatment bridging, treatment capacity building, and more.
