Law enforcement officials rely on building positive relationships with members of the community they serve in order to successfully fight crime. In today’s digital landscape, social media is a vital tool for law enforcement operations by offering a means to connect in real-time with citizens and stakeholders. On Tuesday, July 18 at 1:00 p.m. E.T., the Office of Justice Programs (OJP) Diagnostic Center in collaboration with Lauri Stevens, Founder of LAwS Communications, and Laura McElroy, Principal Consultant at McElroy Media Group, will host “Social Media as a #LawEnforcement Tool: The Fundamentals.” Whether you are new to social media or need a refresher on today’s most recent model practices, this hour-long webinar will give participants an overview of the core concepts necessary to establish a positive social media presence for your department. Additionally, this webinar will discuss experience-based insights and tangible examples from the OJP Diagnostic Center's work supporting the Minneapolis, Minnesota Department in developing a social media strategy to expand community engagement.
If you plan to participate in the webinar, please RSVP by Friday, July 14, 2017.
