AEquitas' mission is to improve the quality of justice in sexual violence, intimate partner violence, stalking, and human trafficking cases by developing, evaluating, and refining prosecution practices that increase victim safety and offender accountability. AEquitas' staff includes former prosecutors who provide 24/7 case consultation; conduct legal research; deliver live and web-based trainings; and publish articles, monographs, and other resources. AEquitas’ guiding philosophy is that success in criminal cases means achieving justice, which the U.S.

Founded in 1911, NLADA is America’s oldest and largest nonprofit association devoted
to excellence in the delivery of legal services to those who cannot afford counsel. NLADA has a
long history of providing technical assistance, including seminal systems evaluations,
training, and toolkits to promote excellence in state and local public defense delivery systems.
