The Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC) requested the Master Resilience Training train-the-trainer curriculum, to be delivered by the Positive Psychology Center at the University of Pennsylvania, for 40-60 agency personnel. BJA NTTAC is currently reviewing this request.

La Crosse County, Wisconsin requested specialized training to promote research driven-based practices gleaned from its participation in the National Institute of Corrections (NIC) Evidence Based Decision Making Phase VI program to local corrections practitioners. The Carey Group was selected to fulfill the request and provided the two-day training to 10 local justice practitioners in La Crosse, Wisconsin on February 21-22, 2018.

We are requesting an All Access Pass (AAP) with FranklinCovey. The AAP will also include specific facilitator certification in 7 Habits for Highly Successful People (or Managers or Law Enforcement), Trust Foundations (or Leading at The Speed of Trust or Policing at The Speed of Trust). The facilitator certifications will include agency personnel as well as community partners. The community partners will receive physical materials only and will not have access to the AAP.

The St. Louis, Missouri Circuit Attorney’s Office, as part of the St. Louis Public Safety Partnership site, requested technical training and assistance with Social Networking Analysis (SNA) via the open-source software, Pajek. BJA is currently considering this request.

The Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commissions requested the Blue Courage Academy. Blue Courage Inc. was selected to fulfill the request and provided the two-day Blue Courage: The Heart and Mind of the Guardian course and the two-day Blue Courage Train-the-Trainer to 22 representatives from law enforcement agencies across Maryland on July 31, 2017 - August 3, 2017, in Sykesville, Maryland.

The Ferguson, Missouri Police Department (PD) requested travel support for two Ferguson PD officers to travel to and participate in the Kansas City, Missouri PD Blue Courage Academy. BJA NTTAC provided travel support for the two officers to attend the academy on June 6 - 9, 2017 in Kansas City, Missouri.

La Crosse County, Wisconsin requested specialized training to promote evidence-based practices gleaned from its participation in the National Institute of Corrections (NIC) Evidence Based Decision Making Phase VI program to local corrections practitioners. La Crosse identified the Carey Group as a potential train-the-trainer provider for approximately ten personnel. BJA NTTAC is currently working with the Carey Group to determine whether it can fulfill this request, which will be transferred to the Option Year 1 (OY1) contract.
