Center staff conducted planning calls with the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Reintegration Program and the Oneida Domestic Violence Men’s Reeducation Program. Staff the drafted 2 concept papers for videos featuring these programs and created a production timeline.

Center staff contacted 17 tribes (33 total individuals) to generate additional information about programs to be profiled on the TAJI website. 9 profiles were finalized and posted to the TAJI website. An additional 12 profiles were approved by the appropriate tribes and are undergoing final edits.

This project is to modify or revise the NENA/APCO IEPD created under ATS Project 1936 (closed) as the new APCO/NENA working group surfaces issues through the American National Standard review process. The National Emergency Number Association (NENA) and the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) worked together to create a standard Emergency Incident Data Document (EIDD) to support implementation of Next Generation 911 (NG9-1-1). The EIDD standardizes call-for-service and incident information that is commonly shared among agencies involved in an incident.

Assist people to become JIEM certified by providing access to the training site, and providing log-in and temporary passwords. JAN-JUNE 2016 PROGRESS UPDATE: Staff assisted three persons obtain access to the JIEM training site. Staff provided instructions as well as log-in and password information to allow access to the training site.

The goal of this project is to author a case study for the Inter Tribal Council of Arizona that outlines the successful use of the GRA and N-DEx to share incident information among tribal law enforcement agencies and how they overcame challenges to share incident and arrest information.

SEARCH received a request for TA from Puerto Rico Sistema de Informacion de Justicia Criminal (SIJC) including several documents to review. Goals and objectives will be determined after the review of these materials in consultation with the client. JAN-JUNE 2015 PROGRESS UPDATE: During this reporting period, SEARCH staff traveled to San Juan, PR on May 18 - 22, 2015, met with agencies that utilize three different CAD systems in PR. Staff drafted a technical assistance report with recommendations to improve information sharing from call to service through incident reporting activities.

Sharing correctional information across the justice system, or between levels of government, is a challenge in many states. As part of NGA's Policy Academy on Cross Boundary Corrections Exchange, teams from the selected states, including North Carolina, convened in Washington, DC to hear about best practices for sharing correctional information and refine strategic plans begun during the policy academy kickoff meeting held in June.

Successful reentry of an offender back to their community is predicated on appropriate and timely information shared between institutional corrections and community partners. North Carolina's business case for this project is to improve and automate sharing offender information upon release to the Local Reentry Council located in the community where the offender is being released. Due to the large number of stakeholders involved in this process, policy and governance is a strong component of this project.
