JAN-JUNE 2015 PROGRESS UPDATE: During this reporting period, SEARCH staff traveled to San Juan, PR on May 18 - 22, 2015, met with agencies that utilize three different CAD systems in PR. Staff drafted a technical assistance report with recommendations to improve information sharing from call to service through incident reporting activities. Staff plans to finalize the report by the end of July 2015.

A SEARCH project team conducted an on-site assessment the week of May 19–22, 2015.6 During the site visit, the SEARCH team held meetings with representatives of the Puerto Rico CJIS (SIJC), Puerto Rico Police Department (PRPD), Puerto Rico Office of Homeland Security (PRHLS), and the Puerto Rico Emergency Management Agency (PREMA). The last three agencies operate the key systems to be evaluated: PREMA operates the E911 Centers used by the commonwealth, while PRPD and PRHLS operate dispatch centers that cover all police agencies within the commonwealth. The evaluation included a review of operations within the CJIS that pertain to information sharing with these systems.
