    National American Indian Court Judges Association

    The National American Indian Court Judges Association (NAICJA) is a national association comprised of tribal justice personnel and others devoted to supporting and strengthening tribal justice systems through education, information-sharing, and advocacy. NAICJA is a nonprofit corporation established in 1969 as a corporation in the State of Delaware following the enactment of the federal Indian Civil Rights Act of 1968. The Act required tribes to follow certain requirements similar to those in the Bill of Rights in the U.S. Constitution.

    Police Executive Research Forum

    NCJA Webinar Innovations in Substance Abuse Treatment and Abstinence Reinforcement

    In 2009 over 123 million people aged 12 or older required treatment for an illicit drug or alcohol abuse problem, according to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health. Of those needing treatment, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration estimates that only 11 percent received inpatient or outpatient addiction services.

    COURSE DESCRIPTION: The rapid spread of methamphetamine throughout the country, the covert nature of drug laboratories, and the hazardous chemicals involved pose unique challenges for law enforcement officials. This course will enable officers to recognize clandestine labs and their components as well as the hazards posed by methamphetamine use and production. This 7-hour online course provides basic methamphetamine awareness and safety education for front-line officers and first responders who may come in contact with clandestine laboratories.
