The Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) and the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services will host a three-day train-the-trainer course titled “First Responders Operating in Low-Light Conditions”. The course will be held Monday, June 6, 2016 through Wednesday, June 8, 2016 in Cleveland, VA and Friday, June 10, 2016 through Sunday, June 12, 2016 in Fairlawn, VA. The purpose of this course is to provide participants with training concepts, techniques, and equipment considerations to increase their effectiveness and confidence while operating in low or no light conditions. The course incorporates the use of “force on force” drills to validate the tactics and techniques covered.
To take this course, participants must be a general instructor and a sworn law enforcement officer. Enrollees will be vetted prior to being accepted into the class. The class size is limited. The registration deadline is May 23, 2016.
