BJA NTTAC Is Seeking Proposals for TTA Services Due January 5, 2018

The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) National Training and Technical Assistance Center (NTTAC) released a request for proposal (RFP) on December 11, 2017. BJA NTTAC is seeking a technical assistance provider to work with the Newark, New Jersey Police Division (PD) to develop a training curriculum for their recently updated use of force policy. The selected provider will:

  • Create an eight-hour course that will be used to train all Newark PD officers in use of force;
  • Conduct a train-the-trainer course to equip Newark PD training staff with the ability to deliver the new course consistently and effectively; and
  • Monitor the initial pilot training conducted by Newark PD to assist the agency with implementation.
