Attend a VALOR Officer Safety and Wellness Program One-day Training on Helping Law Enforcement Survive and Thrive While on Duty in Athens, Georgia

The Bureau of Justice Assistance is sponsoring the VALOR Officer Safety and Wellness Program’s (VALOR Program) “Survive & Thrive Fundamentals: Protecting You and Your Fellow Officers” one-day training in Athens, Georgia on Thursday, March 14 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET. During the training, participants will learn from law enforcement experts on how to prepare physically and mentally, maintain situational awareness, combat complacency, and remain vigilant in different scenarios while on duty. Additionally, participants will acquire skills to ensure they return home safely after a law enforcement shift ends.

The training will cover topics such as leadership, professionalism, and critical decisionmaking to help participants thrive personally and professionally during and after their career in law enforcement. State, local, and tribal law enforcement officers are encouraged to sign up for this training. While there is no cost to attend, participants are responsible for their own travel and lodging. This training is hosted by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and co-hosted by the Athens Technical College and Northeast Georgia Intelligence Network.
