Over the last five years, social media has transformed how people communicate. Individuals around the globe now use social media to easily share ideas, opinions and updates. Because it is new and still evolving, law enforcement needs to educate itself about how it works in order to utilize it to both gather and distribute valuable information.
This seminar is intended for law enforcement personnel who want to learn more about using social media for both investigations and public awareness campaigns.
This one day seminar will cover topics of interest such as:
•How the most popular social media applications and websites work
•What investigative tools are available to search social media
•Social media model policies and procedures for law enforcement
•Identifying what’s next in the field of social media
There is no cost to attend this seminar and your agency does not need to be a member of NW3C.
