Scan Writer: The Future of Data Entry Automation and Advanced Data Analytics (Aug 28 2019)

This one-day, hands-on course will teach students how to perform quick data capture and analysis of financial documents to further their investigations. Personable’s ScanWriter saves countless hours of data entry and improves productivity and efficiency. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 

• Use ScanWriter’s automatic data capture technology by processing bank statements and their offsets from different banks with a high degree of reader accuracy;
• Convert printed and handwritten checks into text while matching item details to statement transactions;
• Look for indicators of financial exploitation by performing quick data analysis within ScanWriter and then exporting the records into Excel for further analysis; and
• Use Microsoft Power BI for interactive data visualization by running accepted models for bank statements, including flow of funds by account, all transactions, expenses, incoming funds, and transaction locations.

 In accordance with the standards of the National Registry of CPE Sponsors, 6 CPE credits will be earned.
