Event Description:

Join us for an hourlong virtual discussion session on September 21, 2022 at 3pm ET on the topic of Hate Crimes and Mass Violence. Discussion will include a brief overview of the Portland Train Attack case, presented by moderator Jeff Howes, First Assistant of the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office. A group discussion about hate crimes and high profile cases will follow. Participants are encouraged to bring their own issues, cases, and questions to the discussion.

The goal of the CCLI Brown Bag sessions is to bring together capital case and complex homicide prosecutors to discuss a variety of emerging issues and topics; to workshop ideas together and arrive at solutions; and to connect individuals to resources and a larger network of prosecutors.

This is a virtual event. Session is open only to capital case and complex homicide prosecutors and will not be recorded or disseminated in any way, nor will any comments or discussions be attributed, to encourage an open discussion. Registrants may be asked to provide further information to verify their employment ahead of the call.

PLEASE NOTE: attendance will be capped at 20 registrants.
