Urban Institute

The Urban Institute’s Justice Policy Center staff members conduct research and evaluations and provide technical assistance to improve justice policy and practice at the national, state, and local levels. Urban researchers examine the development, implementation, and impact of policing, crime prevention, and gang disruption initiatives. The work includes a large breadth of topics ranging from risk assessment, community corrections and reentry, human trafficking, forensic science, courts and sentencing, to gun violence.

National Association of Drug Court Professionals

The National Association of Drug Court Professionals is a national nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation founded in 1994 by pioneers from the first 12 drug courts in the nation.

This extraordinary group of innovative judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, and clinical professionals created a common sense approach to improving the justice system by using a combination of judicial monitoring and effective treatment to compel drug-using offenders to change their lives.

Community Resources for Justice

The Crime and Justice Institute (CJI) at Community Resources for Justice (CRJ) works with local, state, tribal and national criminal justice organizations to improve public safety and the delivery of justice throughout the country. CJI provides nonpartisan policy analysis, implementation consulting, capacity building assistance and research services to advance evidence-based practices and create systems-level change.

Center for Effective Public Policy

The Center for Effective Public Policy (CEPP) is a nonprofit organization first incorporated in Pennsylvania in 1981 with its main office in Kensington, MD, and satellite offices in San Francisco, CA; Melbourne Beach, FL; Columbia, MO; Lebanon, PA; Columbia, SC; and Edgerton, WI. CEPP’s staff and network of expert consultants are configured into project teams that have diverse qualifications and backgrounds in criminal justice, corrections, organizational development, nonprofit management, training, human services research, agency administration, and policy development.
