FY2017 National TTA Initiative to Improve Police-Based Responses to People with Mental Health Disorders Applicant Webinar

The purpose of this webinar is to provide a review of the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) solicitation "Fiscal Year (FY) 2017 National Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Initiative to Improve Police-Based Responses to People with Mental Health Disorders and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities" for potential applicants. 

All applications are due by 11:59 p.m. ET on August 22, 2017. All applicants should register with Grants.gov prior to submitting an application.

Treating Men with Substance Use Disorders

This 2:00 p.m. ET webinar will focus on the special challenges in treating male inmates. Specifically, it will focus on the role their self-definitions of masculinity plays in substance abuse treatment. Masculinity ideologies not only affect how many males think and feel about themselves but influence how they behave.  If not considered by therapists, it may compromise the RSAT substance abuse treatment program.
