The Reno, Nevada Police Department requested 30 Blue Courage: Heart and Mind of the Guardian participant kits. Blue Courage, Inc. was selected to fulfill the request and shipped 30 participant kits to Reno, Nevada in August 2017.

The U.S. Attorney's Office of Massachusetts requested a Blue Courage Academy, a Blue Courage Emeritus, and a Blue Courage Drive training course. Blue Courage, Inc. was selected to fulfill the request and will provide the Blue Courage Academy to various law enforcement agencies across Massachusetts from October 10 – 13, 2017 in Grafton, Massachusetts.

The University of Chicago Crime Lab requested travel support for participants to travel to and attend the Early Intervention System (EIS) National Advisory Committee (NAC) meeting. BJA NTTAC provided travel support for 21 participants to attend the EIS NAC meeting on April 27 - 28, 2017 in Chicago, Illinois.

Preventing violence is a paramount goal for probation and parole professionals, and it is important to keep current on new developments in this area. This program examines effective approaches to reducing violence through community supervision. Attendees were briefed on various programs that have produced a reduction in violence and recidivism among those being supervised. The presenter will go over issues pertaining to police/probation partnerships and the characteristics of successful programs, culminating in the identification of four key steps for developing effective partnerships.

C.O.P.S. along with PSOB trains individuals to become part of the PSOB Liaison Team who are able to respond to assist families of fallen officers with PSOB paperwork and process. The C.O.P.S. National Office maintains a list of these Liaisons and will deploy them as needed.

Tecora Martin from the District of Columbia Department of Corrections requested information on wellness training for correctional officers. BJA NTTAC provided the requestor with a list of providers that offer wellness training for correctional officers.

The Flint, Michigan Police Department, as part of the Flint Violence Reduction Network (VRN) site, requested support to send two detectives to Glynco, Georgia to attend an internal affairs investigation training. The detectives were unable to enroll in the training. BJA NTTAC closed the request on July 27, 2017.

Christopher Bruce, an SPI SME, created an access database for the Lowell Police Department's Crime Analysis and Intelligence Unit (CAIU). The access database that was created is streamlining a lot CAIU's work and makes the work they do more robust. CAIU had some issues with the database and are in need of support to trouble shoot several items. In addition, the CAIU have several data sets they wanted in the LPD's Record Management System (RMS). Lastly the CAIU requested to add some functionality to items that are not within the RMS at all.
