At the request of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe Justice Solutions Group provided a post occupancy evaluation (POE) at the new Adult Correctional Facility. An overview of POE process was discussed and surveys and interviews of staff and administration was conducted. The facility was toured, the data was analyzed and a report was generated.

Nashville-Davidson County, TN has the second largest criminal justice system in the State of Tennessee. We have 5 (law trained) magistrates/ judicial commissioners that are part of the General Sessions Court for our jurisdiction. The magistrates' workload has grown significantly since its inception over 30 years ago without any additional staff and their working conditions are absolutely deplorable.

Morristown Police Department and Morris Township Bureau of Police are seeking training and technical assistance to establish a crime analysis program that will involve and leverage information from both police agencies. They seek an assessment of their technology infrastructure, data sources, and personnel resources to support this effort. They seek guidance to develop a step-by-step plan to establish a working crime analysis program within six months.

Measures for Justice has developed a draft Justice Index that contains about 50 indicators that represent every part of the justice system from arrest to post-conviction and include interests of both victims and defendants. The measures need to be tested for feasibility and utility in order to create a core set of indicators that can be widely replicated in counties across the United States. MFJ is conducting a pilot in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin to examine data capacity at the local level and to hone down the current Justice Index measures so that they can be used nationwide.

Assist the DC MPD enhance operational efficiencies and strategies for civilianizing certain positions within the department. Deliverables include: (1) comprehensive assessment of the current department workflows and activities performed by sworn officers; and (2) strategic plan with recommendations to implement changes based upon assessment findings and successful implementations similar in scope and complexity to MPD.

Creation of an integrated criminal justice database for St. Louis, MO to track persons arrested for offenses involving a firearm. The requested assistance will enable the city to develop, implement, and evaluate the integrated criminal justice data base over a 12 month period.

To date no government entity, academic institution, organization or individual has been able to collect complete data on how right to counsel services are organized and funded in Mississippi. In 2011, the Mississippi Legislature took initial steps to rectify this situation through the creation of the Office of the State Public Defender (OSPD). OSPD is statutorily tasked with coordinating the collection of statistical data and making recommendations to a Supreme Court Task force on the creation of a unified statewide right to counsel system.
