The Center is working with the Montana Statewide Drug Court Administrator to implement two teleservices pilot projects: the Matrix Model initiative and the CBT4CBT initiative. These two projects are testing the remote delivery of evidence-based substance abuse treatment programs in nine of Montana's drug courts. To document the successes and challenges of implementation, the Center is creating pre- and post-surveys that will be completed by drug court staff, partner agencies, and clients.
Dr. Marie VanNostrand will be onsite to provide a summary of the pretrial release recommendations and supervision standards research project in Virginia Pretrial Services. The presentation will outline the project implementation activities, the demographics of the data set, and preliminary data evaluations.
As part of its assessment role, the Urban Institute monitors the progress of local and state Justice Reinvestment sites. Urban does so by collecting and assessing monthly reports on technical assistance to the sites, information on sites' subaward funding, local subaward requests, and letters of interest. Urban reviews materials provided on the sites' progress. In this role, Urban also reaches out to technical assistance providers from the state and local sites and holds semi-structured interviews with site stakeholders.
