The Bayamon Municipal, Puerto Rico Police Department requested assistance through BJA NTTAC to enhance officer safety, wellness, and mental health. The School of Public Safety at Ana G. Mendez University System was selected to fulfill the request and develop and field-test a program to increase officer safety through mindset training and endowment of wellness support to the officer. This request was canceled by the requestor.

The Bureau of Justice Assistance requested support for a subject matter expert to facilitate a one-day session on the GunStat model. BJA NTTAC provided travel support to John Skinner to facilitate the session with the Chicago, Illinois PD on January 23, 2019.

The Richland County Sheriff's Office requested training and technical assitance train their staff on data collection policies and procedures. IDEA Analytics was selected as the provider for this technical assisatance, and assisted with the development and editing of RCSD interation reports, data management practices, analysis processes for RCSD School Resource Officers performance measures, and reporting processes for the SRO program.

The Wellington Police Department and the agencies involved in the Lorain County training collaborative (Amherst, Avon, Avon Lake, Lorain, Elyria, Lorain County Sheriffs Office, Wellington, Lagrange, Grafton, Oberlin, Sheffield and Sheffield Lake) would like on-site training dealing with use of force. Topics we would like to explore like, decision making and it effects on performance, articulation in report writing, how to deal with the aftermath of the incident for both the public and the agency.

The Northern Michigan University (NMU) Public Safety Institute (PSI) requested training on the topic of leadership. Command Presence was selected to fulfill the request and provided the training titled “Not By Chance Leadership,” to 24 members of 13 agencies in Michigan on August 28, 2019 in Marquette, Michigan.

Hamilton County, Ohio requested travel support for a peer-to-peer visit for six to eight representatives to visit the Albany, New York law enforcement assisted diversion program. BJA NTTAC referred this request to the Center for Health and Justice at Treatment Alternatives for Safer Communities.

LAPD requested assistance from BJA NTTAC to assist the officers assigned to the Innovation & Strategic Planning Division with establishing goals and set the vision for innovation and strategic planning for the department. Markus Baer was selected to fulfill the request and provide innovation training to LAPD on January 14 -15, 2019 in La Angeles, California. This request was postponed due to scheduling conflicts and will be revisited at a later date.

BJA requested support to send one participant from the Jackson, Mississippi Public Safety Partnership Site to the IHIA Advanced Homicide/Violent Crimes Investigations Training at the FBI Training Academy in Quantico, Virgina on November 5 - 9, 2018. BJA NTTAC provided travel support to one representative from the Jackson PSP site.
