Training Development

The agency is requesting to receive professional training in the topic area of fair and impartial policing/ cultural awareness, and or community policing. A topic that could best cover those three areas if possible, and have the course repeated on two days so a larger number of FMPD personnel would be able to attend. Other Law Enforcement agencies in Southwest Florida would also be invited to attend the training.

Assistance in implementing a Quality Assurance program within our organization.

The Niagara Falls Police Department as stipulated by the "Order on Consent" by the NYS Attorney Generals Office must create a training protocal on cultural diversity, which shall include training on interactions with persons of different races, ethnicities, religious groups, sexual orientations, persons of the opposite sex and persons with disabilities. Also stipulated the NFPD shall create a training protocal on its policy for conduct during citizen encounters, including supervisory responsibility to ensure adherence to the policy by subordinates.

We are requesting assistance from your Crime Analysis On Demand program. We are currently in the process of signing a settlement agreement with the US Dept. Of Justice Civil Rights Division and will need to improve our ability to compile and analyze crime related data as a part of that agreement. Additionally, the agreement will place significant strain on our existing analytic resources so any training/advice on how to streamline our current operations will be valuable.

We have an increase in domestic violence calls for service. We also have an increase in burglaries and vandalism. I believe the underlying problem to all of the increase in crime is due to the increase in drug use/abuse.

Our community has various issues with street gangs and motorcycle gangs as well as drug sales and use. We have very little funding available to provide training to educate law enforcement on these topics and many of the usual resources (NCTC, MAGLOCLEN) have reduced their training due to a reduction in funding.

We have just received a PSN Grant for two target areas in Fort Worth. Two Texas Christian University Professors will handle the research, but what we need is assistance for our police partners who have crime analysts but need additional training. This request is for "Crime Analysis on Demand" assistance.

Violent crime is a significant problem in the Northern District of Alabama. One of the larger cities in our District is Anniston. Members of the law enforcement community and government officials in Anniston wish to combat the violent crime problem there by initiating a Drug Market Intervention (DMI) approach. Therefore, the Northern District of Alabama is seeking assistance from NTTAC to receive DMI training, preferably from the National Network for Safe Communities.

I received an Email from you announcing new training (Crime Analysis TTA Resources). We have a new staff w/o prior crime analysis training. The Lewiston Police Department would like to take advantage of your new training.
