The Niagara Falls Police Department as stipulated by the "Order on Consent" by the NYS Attorney Generals Office must create a training protocal on cultural diversity, which shall include training on interactions with persons of different races, ethnicities, religious groups, sexual orientations, persons of the opposite sex and persons with disabilities. Also stipulated the NFPD shall create a training protocal on its policy for conduct during citizen encounters, including supervisory responsibility to ensure adherence to the policy by subordinates. Both trainings shall be subject to the approval by the NYS Office of Attorney General before being implemented.
