The Office of Justice Programs (OJP) released its Fiscal Year 2018 Program Summaries report, which provides details of all 72 programs that the agency manages. This resource covers program descriptions, goals, funding details, accomplishments, and application and award history for each program.

The Office for Victims of Crime (OVC), in partnership with the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Indian Health Service (IHS), recently released the report Developing and Implementing a Response to Sexual Assault in Tribal Communities. This report provides a summary of the suggestions from the National Roundtable Discussion on Sexual Assault in Indian Country, convened July 27 – 28, 2016.

The BJA TTA Provider Directory enables BJA staff, BJA TTA providers, and criminal justice practitioners to quickly access key information about BJA providers and give them an understanding of the breadth of justice expertise available.

Drug overdoses involving opioids, such as heroin, have increased by nearly 400 percent since 1999. Four in five heroin users started out by misusing prescription opioid pain medications, and while the rate of overdoses involving prescription pain medication is leveling off, heroin-related overdoses nearly doubled between 2011 and 2013.
