Join the National Criminal Justice Association (NCJA) for the webinar “State and Local Partnerships to Reform Criminal Justice” on Tuesday, December 19 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. ET. During the webinar, participants will learn how the Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services collaborates with local Criminal Justice Coordination Councils (CJCC), specifically in Toledo-Lucas County and Franklin County, Ohio. Presenters from these counties will share information about current initiatives to reduce both over-incarceration and the length of stay for people with serious mental illness in jails.
Franklin County will discuss its participation in the Stepping Up initiative, while Toledo-Lucas County will discuss its participation in the Data Driven Justice Initiative and the Safety and Justice Challenge. Additionally, participants will learn about the Northwest Ohio Regional Information System, which was founded in 1976 to provide records automation and information sharing among jurisdictions in Toledo-Lucas County.
