Attend an Informational Webinar on a New BJA FY 2017 Funding Opportunity

Register to join the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) for the “Fiscal Year (FY) 2017 National Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Initiative to Improve Police-Based Responses to People with Mental Health Disorders Applicant Webinar” on Tuesday, August 1 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. ET. This webinar will provide an overview of the FY 2017 BJA: A National Training and Technical Assistance Initiative to Improve Police-Based Responses to People with Mental Health Disorders and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities solicitation.

BJA is seeking a national TTA provider with the demonstrated ability to build and enhance police, mental health system, and responder capacity to improve law enforcement responses and outcomes for people with mental health disorders (MHD) and intellectual and development disabilities (IDD). Through this solicitation, BJA will support a National TTA Center to Improve Police-Based Responses to People with MHD and IDD (National Center). The goal of the National Center is to build state, local, and tribal governments’ capacity to develop, implement, sustain, track, and assist police and law enforcement in effectively responding to people with MHD and IDD. In addition to fostering more effective collaboration, the National Center’s work will support public and officer safety.

All applications are due by 11:59 p.m. ET on August 22, 2017. All applicants should register with Grants.gov prior to submitting an application.
