Please join the Association of Prosecuting Attorneys (APA) for March's Final Fridays webinar, Restitution Enforcement: A Practical Approach to Assure Restitution to Victims, to be held on Friday, March 29th from 3:00-4:00 P.M. (EST). This month's webinar will highlight the Restitution Enforcement Court in Maricopa County, Arizona, which has collected approximately $500,000 in delinquent restitution payments from 2009 through 2011. Webinar attendees will learn how the Maricopa County Superior Court created a calendar dedicated to the enforcement of delinquent restitution through civil contempt. This webinar presented by Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Roland J. Steinle III; Dan Levey, Executive Director of the National Organization of Parents Of Murdered Children, Inc. (POMC); and Kim Knox, Collections Supervisor with the Maricopa County Department of Finance, will discuss how a coordinated effort between dedicated local stakeholders increased the opportunity for victims in Maricopa County to receive prompt restitution. Webinar attendees will also learn about Arizona's strong tradition of victim's rights and relevant legislation. This training is open to all prosecutors, law enforcement, court personnel and other allied criminal justice partners.
