Please join the Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS Office) in celebrating National Community Policing Week by entering the “Community Policing in Action” photo contest by November 4. Now in its third year, the contest promotes community policing and trust building by showcasing positive community policing engagements.
Over the past 22 years, the COPS Office has invested $14 billion to develop tools, trainings, and technical assistance designed to advance community policing programs for state, local, and tribal law enforcement agencies. You can showcase your agency’s positive policing efforts by submitting a photo to tellcops@usdoj.gov by 8:00 p.m. ET on November 4. The twelve winning photos will be featured as headers for the COPS Office’s official website, Twitter, and Facebook pages during the 2017 calendar year, and may be featured in the COPS Office e-newsletter, the Community Policing Dispatch.
