The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) recently announced newly revised Justice Grant Assistance (JAG) Accountability Measures. Using evidence-based information and best practices, the new measures encourage success, ensure strong project management, create transparency, and allow for the overall field of criminal justice to benefit from these BJA funded programs. These new measures, which apply to FY 2015 grants and onward, further BJA’s commitment to establishing evidence as the cornerstone of criminal justice programming, while also seeking to ease grantee burden. They are more user friendly, easier to complete, and encourage success through evidence-based practices that benefit the full spectrum of criminal justice agencies and organizations.
