In an effort to provide data-driven, consensus-based strategies to increase public safety and strengthen communities, the Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center has launched an overhaul of its website csgjusticecenter.org. Users who visit the newly released site can now tap into resources that present the latest research in straightforward, easy-to-understand materials. The resources provide innovative, cost-effective, and bipartisan approaches that state and local governments are using to make their communities safer. Among the enhancements is a homepage that outlines eight program areas: Corrections, Courts, Justice Reinvestment, Law Enforcement, Mental Health, Reentry, Substance Abuse, and Youth. The content in each program area is developed by staff and experts from around the country. The new site breaks down the silos of information and allows for cross-disciplinary presentation of information from the many fields related to criminal justice.
