Attend a Webinar on Applying for Funding to Implement a Swift, Certain, and Fair Supervision Program Model
Join the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) to learn about a fiscal year (FY) 2019 funding opportunity during the “BJA FY 2019 Swift, Certain, Fair Grant Webinar” on Friday, May 17 at 1:30 p.m. ET. During the webinar, participants will receive information on how state, local, and tribal jurisdictions can apply for funding to implement swift, certain, and fair (SCF) responses in community corrections.
SCF includes three basic principles:
- Promoting prompt responses to behavior so that offenders connect the response to their actions;
- Ensuring responses are consistent and predictable; and
- Making responses proportionate to the negative behavior.
The FY 2019 Innovative Responses to Behavior in the Community: Swift, Certain, and Fair Supervision Program will provide state and local parole and probation agencies with information, resources, and training and technical assistance to enhance responses to offender behavior. Eligible applicants include states, units of local government, and federally recognized American Indian tribal governments.
Applications for this funding opportunity are due on June 25, 2019 by 11:59 p.m. ET. Access the complete funding details to learn more about eligibility, application requirements, and program-specific information.
